Reminds me of a comment my hubby made a few years back when I was pregnant with my first daughter: "A baby is like a toy you can't return; in fact it's worse - you can't even pick the one you want!" Today he wouldn't trade his two girls for anything!
LOL! Would love to have heard the courier trying to explain this - "Um, yes, it's a child. No sir I'm sorry - I cannot disclose the address it came from" ;-) Happy W.W.
Great idea! We're still in the 'planning to have children' stage, and recently there has been talk of hubby's roster changing. He's in favour of one where they do longer shifts but fewer days in a row - until I said that would be good as it would leave more time for me to work and him to care for any children. He went a bit quiet then :)
Emma- we thought about that a little, but in the end decided it wouldn't work for us as Shane's work is just way too unpredictable. Maybe yours isn't though? I do know some people who do that though. Good Luck! The planning stage can be fun- it's nice to dream.
Thanks for wishing us luck :) His work is pretty predictable at the moment. It's very convenient as we both work at the same place, only 10 min from home, and even do the same roster and hours. But still, am not sure how it will all go when we have a baby. I'm hoping work values us both enough to devise a roster where he still works pretty much full time, but in which I can come back after a period of leave and perhaps do four or five on and have nine off (instead of the work nine, have five off both Paul and I do now). Anyway, we don't plan to even start trying for a baby until next year so it's all down the track! Hope your hubby's hours get a bit more family friendly soon :)
Oh, some times I'm tempted to hire a courier to take my boys into their father as well! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute photo, hard to imagine she could ever be grumpy! (Isn't it always like that, they are angels for everyone else??)
My kids try to sneak out to work with daddy every morning. It never works, even if they are not grumpy... so I don't like your chances, but nice try.

ReplyDeleteHaving a good day then? lol
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
